You Are Seen, Heard, and Valued Here

I became a therapist because I’ve walked this path myself. I know what it’s like to feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected. My own journey has been one of deep self-inquiry—through therapy, self-help, retreats, and diverse healing practices. Along the way, I learned that healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken but about learning to listen to yourself, trust your inner wisdom, and take responsibility for your well-being with compassion and care.

I practice because I believe in self-leadership—the ability to meet yourself with kindness, attune to your needs, and build self-trust. Healing happens within safe, supportive relationships, where individuals feel truly seen and valued. It is my privilege to walk alongside others as they reconnect with themselves, strengthen self-compassion, and cultivate a life that feels aligned and meaningful.

Professional Experience

Qualifications & Training

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto (OISE), specializing in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from McGill University, focusing on Gender, Sexuality, Feminist, and Social Justice Studies.

My training includes complex trauma and dissociation, internal family systems, attachment-focused therapy, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, dialectical behavior therapy, ego state therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I engage in ongoing clinical supervision to ensure ethical, relational, and evidence-based care.

I believe that therapy should be empowering, inclusive, and responsive to each person’s lived experience. Our struggles don’t exist in a vacuum—they are shaped by both personal history and larger societal systems. I aim to help clients reclaim agency and self-understanding in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

Yoga & Mindfulness Background

I discovered yoga in 2005 as a powerful tool for emotional regulation and self-awareness. In 2014, I became a certified yoga instructor after completing over 500 hours of teacher training. For several years, I taught yoga while training as a psychotherapist, integrating mindfulness and somatic practices into my work.

This background continues to shape my approach—helping clients connect with their bodies, regulate their emotions, and deepen self-trust. I believe that our bodies hold the imprints of pain and trauma but also immense wisdom and resilience. Learning to listen to and care for our bodies is essential to healing.

My Journey

As the grandchild of Polish Jews who escaped just before the Holocaust, I carry both a legacy of resilience and the weight of intergenerational trauma. These experiences, combined with childhood trauma, shaped my struggles with self-esteem, anxiety, and belonging. From an early age, I searched for understanding—reading every self-help book I could find, attending retreats, and exploring different healing modalities.

Through years of self-inquiry, I’ve come to see that growth isn’t about becoming someone new—it’s about coming home to yourself. It’s about learning to meet yourself with acceptance rather than judgment, compassion rather than criticism. My work as a therapist is rooted in inner parenting—helping people build self-trust, listen to their emotions, and care for themselves in a way that feels nurturing and sustainable.

I know firsthand the courage it takes to face old wounds and the strength required to change long-standing patterns. Growth isn’t about reaching a destination—it’s about building a relationship of trust within yourself, navigating life’s ups and downs with greater ease, and learning to care for yourself in a way that feels right for you.
